Job Description
Primary responsibilities include:
  • Supporting Dell client and peripheral planning teams by helping design and conduct primary market research.
  • Recommending and selecting the appropriate research methodology
  • Working with marketing planning leadership and team members to utilize design to value framework to identify key hypotheses and questions to be evaluated in primary research projects
  • Working with strategy team to develop segment/usage focused primary research projects to help develop business and/or consumer portfolio for product group
  • Preparing reports and presentations for marketing, strategy and leadership team regarding results of primary research
  • Collaborating with broader research community (Industrial Design, Marketing, etc.) to help ensure E2E research investments are complementary, efficient and global research roadmap is optimized
  • Optimizing research scope to provide high-quality insights without overspending
  • Helping develop the research roadmap for the server line of business
  • Helping qualify and develop strong collaborative relationship with market research partners
Qualifications:
  • BA/BS in business administration, statistics, technical or similar
  • Graduate degree or degree candidate in research oriented sciences or cognitive psychology
  • 5+ year of experience in executing qualitative and quantitative research projects
  • 5+ years in high tech industries
  • Experience in managing 3rd party vendors and proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Advanced analytical and business problem solving skills, including financial analysis ability.
  • Expertise in advanced qualitative and quantitative market research methodologies, including conjoint analysis
  • Advanced written, verbal and presentation skills and ability to negotiate effectively.
  • Strong understanding of Dell business model and product development process (OLP) desired.
