The Research Advisor– Pharmaceutical Vaccines Science & Technology (PVST) Large Molecule Process Development (LMPD) is responsible for the providing scientific leadership to the delivery of innovation in biopharmaceuticals, vaccines and nutritionals. The scope includes API through formulation process development.
In this role the Research Advisor will be responsible for delivering key milestones for R&D projects in the large molecule space. The individual in this role is expected to leverage commonalities across vaccines, biopharmaceuticals and nutritionals to build Elanco’s innovation capabilities and capacity in these areas.

Key Technical Deliverables
  • Enhance Elanco’s Large Molecule capabilities, including upstream, downstream, formulation development and control strategies.
  • Contribute to developing Large Molecule strategy in close alignment with TSMS, Manufacturing, Regulatory and Quality to ensure robust processes are developed and commercialized.
  • Function as LMPD lead on assigned projects across vaccines, biopharmaceuticals and nutritionals.
  • Complete Elanco deliverables are in accordance with appropriate regulations and commitments to global regulatory authorities.
  • Prepare and contribute to relevant Regulatory submissions for Large Molecule projects.
  • Build tools, systems, and business process to enable efficiency, effectiveness and quality in PVST.
  • New scientist recruitment and development of junior scientists
  • Enabling compliance with regulatory, safety, and performance standards.

Basic Qualifications
  • PhD degree with 10 years experience or master degree with 15 years experience in R&D including at least 3 years with large molecule, vaccines or nutritionals.
