Data Scientist Position Overview:

Our client is looking for a Data Scientist with a passion for turning large data into actionable insights.
This individual will be integral in transforming data analysis and modeling work into data driven business insights and decisions. This is a highly visible and highly impactful role that can change the shape of the business.

Data Scientist Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Produce dynamic data driven analytic solutions
  • Create reports for KPIs and overall performance trends
  • Identify traffic and buying patterns and trends
  • Collect and analyze data
  • Mine and translate data into strategic insights
  • Analyze marketing data from social media sites and perform and SQL queries
  • Perform LTV analysis and modeling
  • Create marketing mix models, improving customer retention
  • Analyze the results of marketing campaigns
  • Collect data and refine existing data
  • Build machine learning algorithms and statistical models
  • Handle ad hoc reporting / data needs from exec team

Data Scientist Qualifications:

Data Scientist Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in quant field

Data Scientist Experience:

-3 - 5 years of experience in analytics

Data Scientist Related Skills:

  • Experience working with various data types and very large data sets
  • The ability to present technical work to a non-technical audience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Intellectually curious and ambitious
  • Ability to work independently
  • Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning

Data Scientist Computer Skills:

  • Experience with SAS, ETL, AWS/Redshift and SQL
  • High level of experience using query languages such as SQL, as well as programming languages such as Python, R, Java or Ruby
  • Experience with predictive modeling and Natural Language Processing
  • Experience with data visualization tools, such as Tableau
